Kaz Grala's NASCAR career isn't helping his school attendance
Most high school kids are concerned with getting part-time jobs, finding a date for prom, and getting high enough SAT scores to get into a good college.
Kaz Grala, the 18-year-0ld winner of the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona, doesn't even have enough time to make it to school most days.
When the youngest winner in Daytona history, stopped by to chat with @TheBuzzer's Daryl Motte, he said he's only made it to classes about 50 percent of the time this year.
Expect that percentage to drop even more as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series rookie runs a full schedule in 2017.
While the high school senior isn't making it to class often, he seems to be excelling in the classroom in a similar fashion to how he closed out the Truck Series race at Daytona.
"I just had straight A's my last semester," Grala said in response to Motte's question about him passing the 12th grade.
I'm sure they'll make a few exceptions to get Grala that diploma while he searches for a few more Truck Series wins this season.
