Published Sep. 26, 2015 9:41 p.m. ET

The wait is over and it is time for the second race of the Challenger Round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Sunday's race marks a historic milestone for veteran Jeff Gordon, who will be making his 789th consecutive Sprint Cup Series start. By taking the green flag on Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the four-time champion will become NASCAR's new "Iron Man," surpassing Ricky Rudd's streak of 788 starts in a row.

The Joe Gibbs Racing cars have been strong once again throughout the weekend, with Carl Edwards leading two of the three practices and winning the Coors Light Pole for Sunday's race.

Kevin Harvick finds himself in a points hole after an on-track run-in with Jimmie Johnson at Chicagoland Speedway, but the defending champion is hoping for a big rebound on Sunday.
