Josh Wise parts ways with Premium Motorsports' No. 98 car
Josh Wise took to his Twitter account Monday morning to announce he has parted ways with Premium Motorsports as the driver of the No. 98 Ford. Wish said in his tweet, "The team and I did not share the same goals moving forward."
He went on to wish the team luck in a follow-up tweet, however.
Wise started the season with Phil Parsons Racing, but moved to Premium Motorsports when Phil Parsons sold his operation to Jay Robinson in June. Robinson brought the No. 98 team into the Premium Motorsports fold, making it a multi-car organization with the No. 62 Chevrolet.
Wise's departure is the second for the team in just a week. On July 11, Brendan Gaughan left the organization as the driver of the No. 62 Chevy. Gaughan and Premium Motorsports failed to qualify for eight of the 18 races so far this season. Reed Sorenson drove the No. 62 Chevy during Saturday's race at Kentucky Speedway.
After his announcement, Jeb Burton took to Twitter to offer his support the driver that won the 2014 Sprint Fan Vote to get into the All-Star Race.
@Josh_Wise Your a good driver you will find something bro.
