Jeff Gordon hangs out at the Knoxville Nationals

Four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion and FOX NASCAR analyst Jeff Gordon is spending the off-week at a place he's very familiar with -- a dirt track.

Gordon has been hanging out at Knoxville Raceway, site of the 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals, before he returns to the cockpit of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet once again at Bristol Motor Speedway next week.

During his annual trip to the Knoxville, Iowa track, Gordon will be cheering on Shane Stewart, driving the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation No. 2 Larson Marks Racing sprint car, owned by Chip Ganassi Racing driver Kyle Larson and XFINITY driver Justin Marks.

And the team is already looking like a favorite to win Saturday night's main event, as Stewart won the opening night of qualifying for the event on Wednesday.
