HScott Motorsports has moved its NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team headquarters from Spartanburg, South Carolina to Mooresville, North Carolina in advance of the 2016 NASCAR season, the organization announced Thursday.

The new race shop features nearly 50,000 square feet and is positioned closer to the main NASCAR hub of metro-Charlotte, North Carolina, where the majority of teams are based.

"The new HScott Motorsports headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina provides our NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams ample room to prepare and maintain quality cars throughout the season and well into the future," team owner Harry Scott Jr. said in a team release. "The move to Mooresville also allows us to better coordinate with our partners and suppliers.

"I want to thank the city of Spartanburg and our friends there for being so supportive and helping to get HScott Motorsports launched."

Driving for HScott Motorsports in 2016 are Michael Annett and Clint Bowyer -- who is on a one-year loan to the organization before replacing Tony Stewart at Stewart-Haas Racing in 2017.

As previously leaked on Twitter, the team confirmed Thursday that Bowyer's car will campaign the No. 15 -- his number from the past four seasons at Michael Waltrip Racing. Annett will remain in the No. 46 car.
