Just what do people in NASCAR do to pass the time in a rain delay? Eat, sleep and . . . lose the pace car?
Kevin Harvick tweeted during the rain delay of Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Geico 400 that he overheard on the NASCAR radio channel that the pace had been “lost.”
“We found it,” Brett Bodine, who drives the pace car, said later. “The racetrack had it. No big deal. They borrowed it ... We got it back.”
Steve O'Donnell, NASCAR's vice president of racing operations, confirmed the pace car had ben missing when he tweeted: "On lighter note, Brett Bodine and I cudnt find pace car for hour."

A NASCAR source added that an intern had taken the car to get it cleaned up and detailed.
