Daytona-winning truck team is broke

Winning at Daytona International Speedway was just not enough for John King and the No. 7 Red Horse Racing Camping World Truck Series team.

Red Horse Racing announced the team will suspend operations of the No. 7 team driven by the rookie of the year contender effective immediately.

Due to lack of sponsorship funding, the No. 7 will be cutting back its program until further notice. The organization will continue to operate the No. 17 entry driven by Timothy Peters and the No. 11 entry driven by Todd Bodine.

King is currently 13th in the series standings. His victory at Daytona came this past February in his first race at the famed 2.5-mile speedway.
