Busch, Childress have altercation?

Published Jun. 4, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

NASCAR was looking into an alleged altercation between Kyle Busch and Richard Childress following the truck race at Kansas Speedway on Saturday.

Sources who witnessed the altercation said Childress hit Busch three times behind Busch’s hauler in the truck garage.

Busch, who finished sixth in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 250, made contact with Childress’ driver Joey Coulter following the race on the cool down lap. Coulter finished fifth.

“We had a horrible truck all day,” Busch said. “We had a little bit higher expectations. I thought my truck was a little bit better than that in practice than what we showed today. We just fought it.”

Busch has been on probation since his run in with another Childress driver, Kevin Harvick, at Darlington.
