NASCAR has released the preliminary entry list for Sunday's STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

Brett Moffitt is listed as the driver of the No. 55 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota, while Chris Buescher is back behind the wheel of the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford.

Moffitt is filling in for Brian Vickers, who has been forced to step out of the car while taking blood thinners for recently discovered blood clots. Moffitt was driving the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports entry for David Ragan, who is filling in for Kyle Busch in the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. With Moffitt moving over to MWR, Buescher has stepped up to drive the No. 34 for the second straight week. In his Sprint Cup debut, Buescher finished 20th Sunday at Auto Club Speedway.

Defending XFINITY Series champion Chase Elliott will also attempt to make his Sprint Cup Series debut in the No. 25 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. The son of NASCAR Hall of Famer Bill Elliott, Chase will drive the famous No. 24 Chevrolet in 2016 after Jeff Gordon steps away from his full-time role behind the wheel.

There are a total of 46 cars entered in Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race, meaning three cars will go home after qualifying on Friday.
