Bowyer hits career mark at top track
Richard Childress Racing's Clint Bowyer will make his 200th career NASCAR Sprint Cup start this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Bowyer, 32, has a pair of wins at the track where he will hit the mark.
"It's only fitting that we are going to New Hampshire this weekend for my 200th career start," Bowyer said. "We have had some significant success up there in the past and, after some bad luck these last few weekends, it's nice to go somewhere where we run well."
A native of Emporia, Kan., Bowyer has four career Cup wins, 30 top five finishes, 87 top 10 finishes and two poles in six seasons of full-time Sprint Cup Series competition. He is currently 12th in the points standings.
"I am very fortunate to hit this milestone with the same organization that I came into the sport with over six years ago," said Bowyer, who also is the 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion. "Richard and I have built a great relationship over the years and I appreciate everything he has done for me throughout my career."
