Blake Koch returning as Xfinity Series driver for TriStar Motorsports
TriStar Motorsports announced Wednesday that driver Blake Koch will return as the team's driver for the 2015 season in the newly rebranded NASCAR Xfinity Series. Koch, who raced with four different numbers over the course of last season, will carry a new car number in all 33 races with the debut of the No. 8 Toyota Camry.
The 29-year-old native of West Palm Beach, Fla., drove in 28 of 33 races last season, scoring a best finish of 18th in November at Phoenix International Raceway. Koch also made five Sprint Cup Series starts.
"After a good 2014 season, I am excited to be back with TriStar Motorsports for the 2015 season," said Koch in a team release. "I am looking forward to working with Bruce Cook and the No. 8 crew and can't wait to get to Daytona."
"We are happy to have Blake Koch back with our team for the 2015 season," said TriStar Motorsports team owner Mark Smith. "Blake did well with our team last season, and we look forward to building on that success throughout the 2015 season."
