Another fight night? You'll have to tune into Richmond to find out

Published Apr. 25, 2015 12:30 p.m. ET

Short-track racing tends to bring out tempers, and that was certainly the case in the NASCAR Sprint Cup race last April at Richmond International Raceway.

In a race in which Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth kicked off their year-long feud, it was actually Casey Mears and Marcos Ambrose who put on a post-race show in the Sprint Cup garage.

After getting into one another multiple times on track, Mears confronted Ambrose in the garage and began to shove the Australian driver. Without hesitating, Ambrose turned around and landed a punch square on Mears' right eye before crew members got involved and separated the two.

Mears walked away with a black eye, while both drivers were fined and placed on probation by NASCAR.

It won't happen again tonight, at least between those two, because Ambrose has left NASCAR to return to his native Australia. But will tempers flare once again this weekend between someone else in Richmond? Tune in Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET on FOX to find out.
