Annett underwent tests after crash

Michael Annett is currently being treated at the Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla., after an early accident during Saturday's Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway, according to a team release.

He will be kept for observartion.

Annett was transported to the hospital after complaining of pain in his chest and sternum after being caught up in a multicar accident on Lap 116. A total of 13 cars were involved in the accident, which led to a 19-minute and 52-second red-flag period.

Annett was involved in the first of two major crashes at the end of the race. In the second, Kyle Larson's car went into the fence and fans were injured. For more details on the second accident, click here.

Annett was treated for bruising on his chest and underwent a CT scan.
