The FIA Formula E Series will be in London this weekend for a doubleheader that will bring it’s inaugural season to a close.

Plenty of big names will be on hand during the event, including the fastest man on Earth: Usain Bolt.

The 28-year-old Jamaican holds multiple sprint race world records, including an incredible 9.58-second run at the 2009 Berlin World championships.

With the statement “Anything is possible I don’t think limits” on his Twitter page, it should come as no surprise as to Bolt’s Tweet regarding his involvement at the London ePrix:

While we’re not sure as to whether they will actually race each other on track, we are sure we're not the first to say that we're all for it! However, after running some numbers, the odds don’t look to be in Bolt’s favor.

Bolt’s top speed in a 100-meter dash ranges between 27-28 mph, while the top speed of a Spark-Renault SRT_01E car – the car used in the 2014-2015 Formula E series – is capped at 140 mph. However, it obviously takes the Formula E car more than 100 meters to reach that speed.

What the Spark-Renault can do, however, is 0-62 mph in around 3.0 seconds, which gives it an advantage over Bolt who can only reach 27 mph in a 9.58-second run.

Still, numbers can be deceiving, and if “Anything is possible” as Bolt believes, then we are all for it – let’s race!
