Newly-crowned NHRA Funny Car champion Ron Capps is getting set for a busy weekend.

The 51-year-old driver will be on hand with his daughter at this weekend’s NFL game between the San Francisco 49ers and L.A. Rams at the L.A. Coliseum, which airs on FOX at 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday.

But Capps and his 20-year-old daughter, Taylor, won’t just be sitting down in the stands enjoying the game on their Christmas Eve. Instead, they’ll be holding parabolic microphones for San Francisco’s KNBR radio from opposite ends of the field. KNBR will also host Capps’ wife, Shelley, and son Caden.

"This will be so cool," said Ron, who has worked with KNBR for a Monday Night Football game and a Super Bowl in the past.

"I love Mike (Hohler) and everyone at KNBR. I can't wait to get on the air with those guys and talk about our world championship."

Meanwhile, on Feb. 21, Capps will be inducted into the San Diego Hall of Champions, having finally secured his first title back at Pomona in November. Capps was selected as the Hall’s “November Star of the Month.”
