TULSA, Okla. (AP) Rico Abreu passed Bryan Clauson late in the race for his second straight Chili Bowl victory Saturday night.
The 4-foot-4, 23-year-old former USAC Midget car champion passed Clausen with 10 laps remaining to win the prestigious dirt track race.
Abreu announced plans to race full time on the NASCAR Truck Series this season Friday. He was fifth in the K&N East Series last year, racing to his first career stock car win at Columbus Motor Speedway in July.
Clauson, the 2014 winner of the event, also lost the lead to Abreu late last year. He held on for second, and Zach Daum was third.
