Former U.S. national team midfielder Kyle Martino will be the lead analyst for the NBC Sports Group's coverage of Major League Soccer.

The company said Monday that Martino would work with play-by-play announcer Arlo White. Martino was previously the lead analyst for Fox Soccer's MLS and U.S. national team broadcasts.

NBC agreed to a three-year deal in August to take over Fox's MLS package.

Martino and White will make their debut Sunday on the NBC Sports Network for the game between FC Dallas and the New York Red Bulls.

Martino will be stationed between the benches with White in the booth, similar to NBC's approach with hockey.

Former Premier League player Robbie Earle of Jamaica will serve as a pregame, halftime and postgame analyst.

Martino spent seven seasons with the Crew and Galaxy in MLS and played eight games for the national team.

Cable channel NBC Sports Network will air 38 regular-season games this year, while NBC will show three.
