FC Dallas has re-signed defender George John to a multiyear contract.
Terms of the deal announced Tuesday weren't disclosed.
John has appeared in 95 games for FC Dallas since the team picked him 14th overall in the 2009 draft. Only midfielder Brek Shea and defender Jair Benitez have more FC Dallas appearances in that span.
The 25-year-old John started the 2012 season nine days after ending a two-month loan period with English Premier League club West Ham United. FC Dallas was 7-9-7 with him in the lineup and 2-4-5 in matches he missed because of injury.
John has four goals in his FC Dallas career, including one in a 3-0 win over the L.A. Galaxy in the 2010 Western Conference final.
