Y.E. Yang has pulled out of the Dubai World Championship midway through the first round with a neck injury.
The 42nd-ranked South Korean was at 1-over after four holes in the opening round Thursday when he retired. Tour officials said he pulled out because of the neck injury.
Yang later tweeted that he was ''disappointed'' to end his year this way.
Justin Rose pulled out before the tournament began because wife is expecting their second child and Fredrik Jacobson is also not playing because of an injury.
Yang finished seventh at last week's Hong Kong Open.
