Organizers of the Singapore Open say the tournament will continue for at least the next five years despite losing title sponsor Barclays.
Barclays announced earlier this year that it would stop sponsoring the $6 million event - one of the richest golf tournaments in Asia - after the end of its current seven-year agreement.
The Singapore Golf Association and tournament promoter World Sport Group said Thursday on the opening day of this year's Singapore Open that they had reached a deal to extend the tournament until at least 2017.
They did not say if they had found a new sponsor.

The tournament was first played in 1961 but was forced off the schedule for three years from 2002-2004 because of lack of sponsorship.
