GREER, S.C. (AP) Australia's Rod Pampling shot his second straight 9-under 63 on Friday to open a four-stroke lead in the Web.com Tour's BMW Charity Pro-Am.

The 45-year-old Pampling played Green Valley Country Club after opening at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. He will play Saturday at the Thornblade Club, also the site of the final round.

At 18 under, Pampling was a stroke off the tour record for relation to par set by Webb Simpson in the 2008 Chattanooga Classic and matched by Kevin Chappell in the 2010 Wayne Gretzky Classic.

''It's nice to see balls going in the hole,'' Pampling said. ''In this game we see a lot of bad stuff, so when it's coming around nice you just enjoy the walk and don't get in your own way. It's certainly a more relaxing atmosphere having (amateur) playing partners.''
