Although only in his first year with the university, Florida head coach Jim McElwain is making a big impression.

The former Colorado State coach has the Gators sitting at No. 10 in the first installment of the College Football Playoff ranking. There's an electricity in "The Swamp" that hasn't been seen in quite sometime.
Homecoming weekend will take place starting this Friday -- which will include the contest on Saturday against Vanderbilt. Assuming Florida can become victorious, it will clinch the SEC East Division title.
How about this... Let's make it the entire team & coaching staff! See you Friday night at Gator Growl. #GoGators https://t.co/V3r2l2YP2a

In an event called "Gator Growl," many alums and those associated with the program will gather for a myriad of events the Friday before the game. Traditionally, only the seniors on the football team would be present.
However, McElwain is switching that up a bit -- and will include the entire team and coaching staff.
The head coach's passion and pride for the university has been very apparent throughout his inaugural season in Gainesville.
