Washington's QB battle plays out during spring finale

Published Apr. 27, 2015 1:52 p.m. ET

While Washington's defense may have held control over the teams spring finale, it was the QB battle that had everyone talking.

The Huskies future at QB is set with Jake Browning; however, it was Jeff Lindquist, who competed for the job a year ago, who stole the show during the spring.

Lindquist threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns, including a 71-yard TD pass to sophomore Dante Pettis, and led the Huskies on another TD drive during the 11-on-11 periods.

Meanwhile, Browning was 11-of-18 for 59 yards and threw two interceptions. Washington's third option at QB, K.J. Carta-Samuels, was 11-of-12 for 123 yards and an interception.
