USC's Su'a Cravens on matchup versus Oregon: It's 'a little personal'

Published Nov. 17, 2015 5:20 p.m. ET

When asked about the environment he expected at Autzen Stadium on Saturday, USC star Su'a Cravens said that he didn't know what to expect, because the Ducks never offered him a scholarship.

“I’ve never been up there. I mean, I’ve probably been up there probably one time, but I never took a visit to Oregon,” said Cravens, per the Los Angeles Times. "Oregon actually never even offered me."

Cravens was one of the most prized defensive recruits in the country in the 2012 recruiting class. The Ducks were the only Pac-12 school not to offer Cravens a scholarship.

“I kind of take it a little personal,” he said. “They were winning at the time and it was nice to see they had all new uni’s and were going to Rose Bowls.”

“It bothered me a little bit. I’m a West Coast guy.”

When asked if he was inclined to show what Oregon missed out on, Cravens smiled.

“Nah, I think they know,” he said.
