UC Davis powers past North Dakota 34-18
Gabe Manzanares rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns and Brady Stuart kicked four field goals as UC Davis won its home finale 31-18 over North Dakota on Saturday night.
Manzanares and Stuart were part of an unusual swing of 12 points in 32 seconds that sparked a breakaway for the Aggies (4-7, 4-3 Big Sky). Stuart had booted the second of his career-best four field goals - a 29-yarder - to start the second quarter and break a 3-3 tie. North Dakota's Greg Hardin fumbled the ensuing kickoff in the end zone and in the confusion the ball came out of the end zone and was batted back in for a UC Davis safety.
Manzanares then scored the first of his TDs, boosting the lead to 15-3.
Hardin caught 11 passes for 179 yards and Kenny Golladay caught 5 for 109 and a TD for North Dakota (3-8, 2-6).
