Trial date set for FSU's Cook

An Aug. 24 trial date has been set for Florida State star running back Dalvin Cook, who was charged with misdemeanor battery after a women claimed he struck her outside of a bar in Tallahassee.

Cook, a rising sophomore who rushed for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns last season, has been suspended from the team indefinitely since July 10.

The Seminoles will kick off their 2015 campaign on Sept. 5 when they host Texas State.
