CONWAY, S.C. (AP) Dominique Allen rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns, and Eric Goins kicked a 43-yard field goal with no time left to lift The Citadel over Coastal Carolina 41-38 in an FCS first-round playoff game Saturday.

The Citadel (9-3) recorded its first FCS Playoff win since 1992, rolling up 524 rushing yards on 78 attempts in the process.

Tied 28-all entering the fourth quarter, a 49-yard field goal from Goins and Shy Phillips' 32-yard interception return for a score gave the Bulldogs a 10-point lead. But Coastal Carolina tied it up with 5:38 left when Osharmar Abercrombie broke three tackles and rumbled 16 yards for a touchdown.

Goins had a chance to put The Citadel ahead on the next possession, but his 47-yard attempt was blocked.

Coastal Carolina (9-3) looked to take the lead on the ensuing drive, but Tevin Floyd's strip-sack of Alex Ross, which Mitchell Jeter recovered, set the Bulldogs up for the winning score.

Ross was 21-of-31 passing for 415 yards and three touchdowns.
