Star linebacker Skai Moore returning for his senior season
New head coach Will Muschamp appears to have pulled off his best recruiting job yet during his short time in Columbia, as junior linebacker Skai Moore announced Thursday he would return for his senior season in 2016. Moore was named to Second Team All-SEC for his 2015 efforts.
Moore has led the Gamecocks in tackling each of his three seasons with the team and is coming off his best year to date after racking up 110 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and forcing three fumbles. In his three-year career, Moore has 258 tackles for South Carolina.
Muschamp was pleased to see the star linebacker return to anchor his defense next season, as the coach released this statement:
"I think Skai made a mature decision to come back to the University of South Carolina. He took all the information we gathered for him and decided it was in his best interest to return to school for his senior year. I'm excited about coaching him."
