McCaffrey also became the first player to gain more than 100 yards both rushing and receiving in a Rose Bowl game.

He extended his own NCAA single-season record for all-purpose yards to 3,864 yards and became the first Stanford player to ever rush for more than 2,000 yards in a single season (2,019). On the night, McCaffrey had 172 yards rushing, 105 receiving, 63 on punt returns, 28 on kick returns and scored two touchdowns.
