St. Pete's Bowl extends deals with Big East, C-USA

The St. Petersburg Bowl has extended its agreement with the Big East Conference and Conference USA through the 2013 season.

The Sun Belt Conference also signed an agreement to provide a backup team, if there's an opening.

This season's St. Petersburg Bowl is Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 8 p.m. at Tropicana Field, and will be on ESPN.

The game is entering its third year. Big East teams have won each of the first two games.
