Source: Injured Vols WR Marquez North won't miss season

While there was a report out of Knoxville on Wednesday night that Tennessee wide receiver Marquez North had "suffered a serious leg injury and it is feared to be season ending," a source told FOX Sports on Thursday morning that speculation was "all false" and the big wideout is expected to be sidelined only a week or less.

The 20-year-old junior is considered one of the Vols' most talented receivers. Last season, the 6-3, 230-pounder caught 30 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns despite dealing with some nagging injuries. He is expected to be a big weapon for UT this fall, especially in the red zone.

Tennessee opens the season vs. Bowling Green in Nashville on Sept. 5.
