Oklahoma wide receiver Ryan Broyles has become the NCAA's career leader with his 317th catch during the first half of Saturday night's game against Kansas.
Broyles broke the receptions record set by Purdue's Taylor Stubblefield in 2004.
The senior from Norman, Okla., set the record with a 57-yard touchdown catch from Landry Jones with 7:50 remaining in the first half. Broyles caught the pass in stride on a post route and ran untouched into the end zone. It was his fourth catch of the night.
Broyles, who's averaged more than seven catches per game in his career, also moved into first place on the Big 12's career TD reception list with 43. He had been tied with former Oklahoma State wide receiver Rashaun Woods.
