Report: Oregon walk-on QB Taylor Alie to start vs. Washington State

Replacing Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota at quarterback has been easier said than done for Oregon so far in 2015.

Graduate transfer Vernon Adams struggled to fill that void, getting benched during Oregon’s loss to Utah, and it appears the Ducks will now turn to a walk-on as the they prepare to host Washington State on Saturday afternoon, according to 247 Sports.

If that happens, it will be interesting to see how Taylor Alie handles himself during his first start and whether he can get things rolling for the Ducks on offense.
