QB Danny Clark Decommits from Ohio State, Options?
An Ohio State fan from birth decommits.
Quarterback Danny Clark decommitted from the Ohio State 2017 recruiting class. He cited the fact as a pro style quarterback he may be a better fit for a different style of offense than the Buckeyes run.
Clark was the first player to commit to the 2017 class and did so as a freshman in 2013. He has been an avid recruiter for coach Urban Meyer ever since.
The sad thing about Clark decommitting is he has been a fan of the Buckeyes his entire life. Here is what he posted on twitter:
Out of respect for coaches on OSU staff, I will not be answering any questions on this topic. Ever…

Now where will Clark end up? Four teams in the Big Ten who have a pro style attack come to mind.
The first one is a certain team up north, but it appears they are set at the quarterback position for at least a couple of years. It’s hard to envision a lifelong Buckeye fan playing for the Wolverines as well.

However Mark Dantonio, a coach in the same state, is always recruiting the Buckeye State hard. Connor Cook, a northeast Ohio native, did okay playing for the Spartans didn’t he?
Wisconsin and Iowa are two teams that could be in the mix. The Hawkeyes will be losing C.J. Beathard soon as well.
Many are projecting that Clark will be going to Kentucky and play for Mark Stoops. That makes a lot of sense as Stoops has been trying to get a foothold in Ohio since taking over as head coach of the Wildcats.
Coach Stoops would be getting a fine quarterback and a great recruiter at the same time. And Clark wouldn’t have to play against his beloved Buckeyes.
Wherever the young man ends up I wish him only the best. After all, he is still an Ohio state fan.
