Phillips isn't the perfect NFL prospect, but his size speaks loudly

At 6-foot-5, 329 pounds, former Oklahoma nose tackle Jordan Phillips has the sheer size to make NFL general managers drool.
The same can't quite said of retired NFL defensive end Stephen White, who broke down Phillips' game film from the 2014 season for SB Nation. White provides his take on what attributes make Jordan attractive, but also what might hold him back once he's playing on Sundays.
"I think Phillips can be a viable nose tackle in the NFL as a two-down player, but I just don't see him as a guy you should expect much from above and beyond that," White wrote. "While it's true that there were times when Phillips was impressive as a power rusher, he still needs to work on staying lower so he can escape those moves cleaner. Even if he does, I just don't think he will ever give a team enough as a pass rusher to be in there on money downs."
