Oregon will dress like actual, real life ducks this weekend
Just when you thought the Oregon Ducks couldn't get any weirder with their uniforms, they went ahead and designed a set that makes them look like actual ducks.
The program will roll out the look this weekend against Colorado. It features a sparkly silver helmet that represents the duck head, with the accompanying orange facemask representing the bill. The green and yellow jersey covers the body, while the white pants and orange socks and cleats (below) give you the duck legs.
The getup will pay homage to (and closely resemble) the school's beloved mascot, Puddles. The collar of the jersey reads "Once a Duck, Always a Duck."
The Ducks and Nike, which was co-founded by Oregon alum Phil Knight, are constantly working together to unveil new uniform sets, but this is the first time that the program has worn orange socks or cleats. Big day for them.
If it looks like a Duck. Moves like a Duck. Must be a Duck. #GoDucks pic.twitter.com/iKz5cOUdfF
