One Fan Takes Anger Too Far

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

After the absolute beatdown Alabama gave Arkansas last night, one fan decided to let Bret Bielema know exactly what was on his mind. Moments later, he was arrested.

We were all upset. No one wants to lose but against the number one team in the country, it’s probably going to happen. Most fans made their way out of the stadium and vented on social media, however, one fan decided to take it to a new level.

Meet Lawton Nalley. Nalley, according to various news outlets and the U of A directory, is an associate professor for the Ag. department. Lawton was also very unpleased with the way Bielema and his staff lost the game. Yeah, that game against the number one team in the nation

After the game was over, Lawton began shouting obscenities at the head coach while he awaited his players. According to a friend who was down there at the time, also present besides the staff, was the wives and kids of some of these coaches. Apparently, the cops tried to get him to leave but Lawton kept going and refused so thus he got arrested.

Moral of the story? Go to twitter like a normal pissed off fan and start yelling for someone to be fired. Do I agree that he had the right to be angry? Sure! We all should for the way we lost but to yell curse words and spew vile hatred for coaches in front of their families is just stupid. I’m sure he has learned his lesson and at his next place of employment, will not make this same mistake.
