(UPDATE: Oklahoma has cofirmed that Diron Reynolds has been brought in to be the team's defensive line coach. The rest of this post appears as it was originally written.)

Stanford staffer Diron Reynolds will become the new defensive line coach at Oklahoma, a source told FOX Sports on Thursday.

A 1994 grad of Wake Forest, Reynolds had spent about a decade as an NFL assistant. Before his time at Stanford, Reynolds spent five seasons with the Vikings as an assistant defensive line coach. He spent the 2007 season with the Miami Dolphins as a defensive line coach and spent five seasons in Indianapolis as a member of Tony Dungy's staff, where he served as a defensive quality control coach.
