Oklahoma gets commitment from New Orleans linebacker

The same day the Sooners lost a player, they gained a commitment.

Pernell Jerfferson, an outside linebacker from New Orleans committed to Oklahoma and will join the 2016 recruiting class, according to Jefferson's Twitter.

Jefferson is a three-star recruit, according to Rivals. Jefferson also had offers from Nebraska, Arizona State, Mississippi State, Missouri and Miami.

Earlier Monday, OU coach Bob Stoops said offensive lineman Kenyon Frison has been suspended indefinitely from the team for violating team rules.
