Northwestern State shuts out Langston 37-0

Zach Adkins passed for 273 yards and three touchdowns to lead Northwestern State to an easy 37-0 win over Langston on Saturday night.
Northwestern State (3-2) had no problem handling NAIA member Langston (0-4), limiting the Lions to a meager 122 total yards.
Adkins led an 80-yard drive late in the first quarter, culminating in Louis Hollier's 4-yard touchdown catch, to give the Demons a lead that was never challenged.
In the second quarter, Ed Eagan returned a Langston punt 50 yards for a touchdown, the second TD return of his career.
A fumbled third-quarter Langston punt turned into a Chris Moore 22-yard field goal. On the second play of the ensuing drive, Fred Thomas intercepted a Jac'Quon Miles pass and two plays later De'Mard Llorens dashed nine yards for a Northwestern State touchdown. Llorens added a 14-yard TD catch later in the quarter to cap the scoring.
