North Carolina Central dominates Norfolk State 36-6

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Isaiah Totten rushed for 108 yards and Sherman McLeod had 101 yards receiving to help lead North Carolina Central to a resounding 36-6 victory over Norfolk State on Saturday afternoon.

Chauncey Caldwell threw for 188 yards and one touchdown and ran for 53 yards and another score as NCCU (3-3, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) was up 12-0 at the break and 19-0 going into the fourth quarter. The Eagles scored 17 unanswered points in the final quarter before letting Norfolk State on the board in the final seconds.

Adam Lippy kicked field goals of 25 and 22 yards and Caldwell ran in from the 5 for a score for the 12-0 halftime advantage. Caldwell hit McLeod in stride for a 93-yard scoring strike to open the scoring in the second half. Totten ran in from the 35 and Tyquan Watson added a 5-yard scoring run before Lippy closed out NCCU's scoring with his third field goal, a 38-yarder.

Juwan Carter led Norfolk State (3-3, 2-2), throwing for 140 yards.
