NCAA Football: The Top 5 Games To Watch In Week Four
It’s the fourth week of NCAA football and it’s amazing how fast the season is rolling. We look at the top five games to watch this weekend.
This weeks slate of games is pretty good as there are a number of ranked teams playing against one another.
There’s three big games in the SEC among ranked teams. There’s also a big game in the Big 10 between closely ranked teams.
We’ll finally get to see who some of the pretenders are among those group of teams that have been beating up on terrible teams for the most part.
We’re going to take a look at the top five games you as ‘Noles fans should be interested in checking out.
Sep 17, 2016; Madison, WI, USA; Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Alex Hornibrook (12) throws in the pocket during Wisconsin
Who: No. 11 Wisconsin vs. No. 8 Michigan State
When: 12:00 p.m.
Broadcast: Big Ten Network
Where: Spartan Stadium, East Lansing, MI
I honestly don’t expect any ‘Noles fans to check this game out since it’s the same time as the FSU game. That is unless something crazy like USF is blowing the doors off FSU.
Wisconsin is one of the most overrated teams out there in my opinion and should be nowhere near No. 11 in the country.
They beat an overrated LSU team and almost lost to Georgia State last week.
Michigan State is coming off an eight point win over Notre Dame last week. Both teams are undefeated, but somebody’s O will have to go in this one.
Michigan State is the -6 point favorite.

Who: No. 17 Arkansas vs. No. 10 Texas A&M
When: 9:00 p.m.
Broadcast: ESPN
Where: AT&T Stadium, Arlington, TX
This will be our choice for the late game. AT&T Stadium is always rocking with their “12th Man” so the atmosphere should be a good one.
Also, it’s between two ranked teams that are both undefeated at 3-0. So somebody’s O has to go in this one.
Both teams have beaten another ranked team. Texas A&M beat UCLA in overtime in their opener, and Arkansas outlasted TCU in double overtime in their second game.
Both teams score a lot of points, but A&M has the better defense.
Texas A&M is the -6 point favorite.
Dec 5, 2015; Charlotte, NC, USA; North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Larry Fedora argues a call on the field in the second half against the Clemson Tigers in the ACC football championship game at Bank of America Stadium. Who: UNC vs. Pittsburgh
When: 3:30 p.m.
Broadcast: ESPNU
Where: Kenan Stadium, Chapel Hill, NC
Both of these ACC Coastal Division teams come into this game at 2-1 on the young season. UNC’s lone loss came against Georgia in the opener. A game that they probably should have won, although poor play late and questionable referee calls contributed to the loss.
Their two wins came over James Madison and Illinois, not exactly world beaters, but the UNC offense is averaging 42 point per game.
Pittsburgh’s lone loss came in their last game at Oklahoma State. The beat Villanova in their opener and then squeezed out a win against old rival Penn State in a thriller.
This could be a shootout both teams score and allow a bunch of points. UNC comes to Tallahassee next week. So it’ll be an entertaining watch, plus you’ll familiarize yourself with what they like to do for next week’s game.
UNC is the -7 point favorite.

Who: No. 19 Florida vs. No. 14 Tennessee
When: 3:30 p.m.
Broadcast: CBS
Where: Neyland Stadium, Knoxville, TN
If you’re not interested in watching the 3:30 ACC game between UNC and Pittsburgh, this game would be the best game to check out.
Both teams are undefeated at 3-0, but the main story line in this one is Tennessee hasn’t beaten Florida in over a decade.
This year is finally supposed to be the year. However, Tennessee has not played that great and Florida hasn’t played anybody of note.
Florida will be without their starting quarterback Luke Del Rio, but they have the better defense also. FSU plays Florida in the regular season finale, so it could be worth checking out as well.
Tennessee is the -7 point betting favorite.
Sep 12, 2015; Tallahassee, FL, USA; South Florida Bulls quarterback Quinton Flowers (9) looks for a receiver while being pressured by Florida State Seminoles defensive end Josh Sweat (9) at Doak Campbell Stadium. Florida State won 34-14. Mandatory Credit: Glenn Beil-USA TODAY Sports
Who: No. 13 Florida State vs. South Florida
When: 12 p.m.
Broadcast: ABC/WatchESPN
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, FL
No. 13 FSU is coming off arguably the worst loss in FSU history during the Jimbo Fisher era, a 63-20 thrashing at the hands of Lamar Jackson and Louisville.
They’ll be taking the South Florida Bulls who come into this game undefeated at 3-0. They beat Syracuse in their last outing by a score of 45-20.
There are so many unknowns going into this game. Which FSU team is for real? The second half team against Ole Miss or the Louisville team from last week.
South Florida is a confident bunch as they played FSU straight up last season through halftime. However, FSU and Dalvin Cook blasted them in the second half to win by 20 points.
This is big game for USF, but even bigger game for FSU. A loss here and their season is over for all intents and purposes because I believe this team would fold if that were to happen.
A win here would give them much-needed confidence as a potent offensive unit comes to Tally the following weekend in UNC. FSU is a -6 point favorite.
