Middle Tennessee State's Buster Faulkner has been named Arkansas State's new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Red Wolves head coach Blake Anderson made the announcement Wednesday, according to the school. A source had told FOX Sports earlier in the day that Faulkner would become the team's OC.

Under Faulkner, MTSU was No. 4 in Conference USA in total offense and second in touchdown-scoring percentage in the red zone. The 34-year-old Faulkner spent five seasons at MTSU. Faulkner replaces Walt Bell, who left to become the new offensive coordinator at Maryland.
