Michigan State recruiting extended an offer to four-star wide out Jahan Dotson from the 2018 class.

Looking to have his best class yet, Mark Dantonio extended an offer to four-star 2018 wide out Jahan Dotson from Hightstown, N.J. Michigan State recruiting could pick up steam in 2018 if the Spartans have a decent 2017 season and a strong spring/summer.

So far, the class has just one commitment in four-star athlete Xavier Henderson and could pick up more in the coming months. Dotson will likely be a ‘Plan A’ target given his offer sheet and incredible skill set.

After watching Dotson’s film, it’s easy to see why he’s ranked so high on recruiting sites. He’s athletic, elusive and runs crisp routes. Not only that, but he can return kicks and punts, play out of the wildcats and run the ball effectively.

The New Jersey-native is ranked the No. 54 overall recruit and seventh-best wide receiver in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports.

With R.J. Shelton leaving this year, the Spartans need to find the next all-around offensive playmaker and Dotson could be just that.

Dantonio is making a concerted effort to land some of the nation’s top 2018 targets and he’s already making an impression with some high-rated kids. Will he have his best recruiting class yet?

Dotson is only a junior, but he already has offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Auburn, Georgia, Iowa, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pitt, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Now that’s an impressive offer sheet.
