Who are the Spartans?
Michigan State is a team that was expected to compete for a spot in the Big Ten title game in December. A slow start against Furhman was thought to only be a fluke, but losses to Maryland, Indiana, Northwestern and BYU have the Spartans in a massive hole; they probably won’t even make a bowl game.
This week’s coverage
Even though Michigan State is 2-5 and struggling, there’s no reason to think the Wolverines will take this game lightly, especially after the madness that was last season’s game.
