Miami Hurricanes National Signing Day: Athlete Dee Jay Dallas

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 12:35 a.m. ET

An early enrollee, Dallas has already shown leadership skills as he helped the coaching staff to recruit others. A multi talented Quarterback in high school he is listed as an athlete. Likely is bound for either defensive back or wide receiver.

With Miami’s thin depth at running back they could try him to back up Mark Walton. A four star consensus prospect. Dallas was also a return man in high school. Was a high school teammate of his future Miami teammate Za’Lontae Hillery

He might be the best athlete in the Hurricanes class of 2017. Richt and Brown could use him in the Wildcat formation on direct snaps or on jet sweeps. Dallas was a multi dimensional player at Glynn.

With classmates Jeff Thomas and Mike Harley adds another playmaker to the Hurricanes, something they desperately need. Ahmmon Richards is the only returning receiver that contributed a lot in 2016.

Brown is going to need his younger players to step up this season. Miami also gets Lawrence Cager back from injury. He was as highly touted as Richards coming out of High School in 2015.

Wide Receivers coach Ron Dugans is very high on Dallas. His HurricaneSports bio follows.

DEEJAY IS A VERY ATHLETIC KID THAT HAS GREAT VISION AND IS VERY ELECTRIC WITH THE BALL IN HIS HANDS.
