Matthew McConaughey tried to give Texas Longhorns a boost

Texas was in desperate need of some positive vibes.
After getting crushed in the opener versus Notre Dame, the Longhorns suffered a gut-wrenching 45-44 loss last week at home to Cal. Sitting at 1-2 overall, head coach Charlie Strong's hot seat is surely igniting.
At this point, could an Academy Award-winning actor help the 'Horns?
On Saturday, Matthew McConaughey was on the field speaking to UT players prior to the start of the game vs. Oklahoma State.
In the past, the Texas native has also spoken to Strong's team at practice. His inspirational speech was surely buoyed by the ardent pride and support he has for the program.
The speech didn't quite work as Texas suffered another special teams failure with a blunder on a punt late in the fourth quarter as the Cowboys pulled out a 30-27 victory on a late field goal.
