The fallout from the Baylor football sexual assault allegations scandal continued Wednesday when the man who had been at the top of the university’s administrative structure told ESPN he will resign.

Ken Starr, who had been the president at Baylor before he was stripped of the president title the same day coach Art Briles was suspended with intent to terminate last week, is now leaving the chancellor post.
The resignation of Starr, who began his employment with Baylor six years ago today, continues a house-cleaning at the school in the wake of the findings of a Philadelphia law firm it hired to investigate its handling of multiple sexual assault allegations against football players dating back to 2009. Briles was hired in 2008 and led the school to an unprecedented 50 wins in the past five seasons, and he was followed out the door by athletic director Ian McCaw and several other staffers.
Former Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe has been hired as an interim replacement to get the program back on the right track.
