Fellow Buckeyes heap praise on Miller

If any of the other players who met with the media in Columbus on Tuesday were put off by the attention Braxton Miller has garnered over the past year -- despite not playing one snap as the Buckeyes became the first College Football Playoff national champions -- they didn't show it.
“I think Braxton’s a big part of the reason we’re here right now," running back Ezekiel Elliott said as he, along with Miller, Cardale Jones and Joshua Perry, got set to head to Los Angeles to attend the ESPYs. "Braxton’s a very important part of the team the two years before last year. This team wouldn’t be where we are without his leadership.”
Jones, who along with J.T. Barrett stepped in for the injured Miller at quarterback last season, agreed.
“Without Braxton Miller this team would not be where we are right now," Jones said. "The way that he plays, the way that he leads, the way that he commands an offense and a team, he’s not the two-time Big Ten MVP for no reason. Even though we didn’t get a chance to play with him last year, his leadership, his coaching ability was unbelievable last year on the sidelines.”
Perry, a linebacker who led the team in tackles last season, made it a clean sweep.
“He’s a big part of our team and a big part of everything we did last year,” Perry said. “He was quiet, but he was definitely a leader. He was always pushing for us, always wanting guys to get better."
