Westbrook finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting this season and won the Biletnikoff Award presented to college football most outstanding receiver. The 6-foot, 2-inch senior wide receiver averaged 19.8 yards per catch this season, 122.1 receiving yards per game and caught a school-record 16 touchdown passes. He recorded 1,354 receiving yards in 2016, second most among FBS teams, and his 122 receiving yards per game ranked fourth in the nation.

Twelve of Westbrook’s 16 TD receptions have gone for 40 or more yards. It has been 18 years since that many touchdown grabs of that distance have been made in the same season.

Brown, a redshirt sophomore, is the 2016 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and an All-Big 12 First-Team selection. He was named to the Freshman All-America Team by the Sporting News a year ago. The 6-foot, 8-inch offensive tackle was one of only 10 Oklahoma players to start at the position as a freshman.

Mayfield led the nation this season with a pass efficiency rating of 197.8, a completion percentage of 71.2 and 11.1 yards per pass attempt. He passed for 3,669 yards, including 38 touchdowns and eight interceptions, in the 2016 regular season. The redshirt junior, who began his college career at Texas Tech, won the Burlsworth Trophy for a second-straight season as college football’s best player who began his collegiate career as a walk-on.

One other Big 12 player was named to the AP All-America First Team: junior running back D’Onta Foreman of Texas.

Texas sophomore offensive tackle Connor Williams joined OU’s Brown at offensive tackle on the second team.

West Virginia cornerback Rasul Douglas, a senior, was named to the AP third team.
